The letter with the final list of Mahama ministerial nominations will be read on the floor of parliament on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, by Hon. Alban Bagbin, the Speaker of Parliament.
The letter containing the final batch of ministerial appointments was signed on Monday, January 20, 2025.
The list was not officially made public because Parliament does not convene on Mondays; hence the list will be made public on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, following the speaker’s reading of it on the floor.
Parliament must be formally informed of the ministerial appointments before it becomes public. With this procedure, President Mahama fulfills his pledge to name all of his choice ministers within 14 days of taking office.
Several key portfolios, including labor, the environment, health, the military, and the interior, are reportedly going to be included in the final set of ministries to be released. There will be six regional ministers on the final list.
