I Washed My Own Jersey Playing For Hearts Of Oak- Sulley Muntari

Sulley Muntari, a former midfielder for the Black Stars, has now spoken up about the challenges he encountered when playing for Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League.

The player, who is now 40 years old, discussed his experience with the awful circumstances of the league and how it may have played a role in his decision to not prolong his stay after the 2021/22 season.

While playing for Inter Milan, the player who won the Champions League made 11 games and scored one goal during his brief tenure with the club.

Muntari, on the other hand, voiced his disapproval of the league’s standards, referring to them as a “big hole” that was being repeatedly filled with money without resulting in any major improvement.

It was revealed that he took matters into his own hands because of the unfavourable conditions, which included a lack of respect and uncomfortable settings, such as a bad-smelling changing room.

“I don’t even let my shirt get washed,” she claimed. According to what he said to 3 Sports, “I’m always taking it home.”

Muntari also made a comment regarding Mubarak Wakaso’s choice to not join Hearts of Oak. He stated that he understood Wakaso’s reluctance and that he believed that “Waka [Wakaso] won’t probably be able to contain them.”

The difficulties that players in the Ghanaian league encounter are brought to light by Muntari’s experience, despite the fact that he has made contributions.
