His Excellency COP Tiwaa Addo-Danquah’s position as the Executive Director of the Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO) has been revoked by President John Dramani Mahama.
On Friday, January 24, 2025, the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin made the announcement that COP Tiwaa Addo-Danquah has been instructed to be reassigned within the Ghana Police Service. He claimed that she has been directed to turn in her responsibilities and go back to the Ghana Police Headquarters so that she can be reassigned.
The appointment of COP Addo-Danquah as Executive Director of EOCO became effective on January 5, 2022. She took over from Steve Raymond Dapaah-Addo, who was appointed as the Director-General of EOCO on July 9, 2021.
COP Addo-Danquah was the Director-General of the Police Professional and Standards Bureau prior to being assigned to EOCO. She became the first female commandant of the Ghana Police Command and Staff College (GPCSC) at Winneba after joining the Ghana Police Service in 1990.
In addition, she supervised the Commercial Crime Unit of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) and was the superintendent of the Police Hospital.
