Victoria Emeafe Hardcastle has been appointed as the acting Chief Executive Officer of the Petroleum Commission of Ghana by President John Dramani Mahama.
It was indicated in her letter dated January 17, 2025; it was noted that her appointment takes effect immediately.
In the letter, which was signed by Dr. Callistus Mahama, the secretary to the President, her appointment was made in accordance with Article 195(1) of Ghana’s Constitution and Section 11(1) of the Petroleum Commission Act, 2011 (Act 821).
Her appointment is, however, pending advice from the Board of the Petroleum Commission in consultation with the Public Services Commission, as required by the constitution.
The letter accentuated President John Dramani Mahama’s confidence in her potential while congratulating her on her new role.
