Former Eastern Region Lower West Akim Member of Parliament Gifty Klenam, formerly of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has shifted to the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).
On Thursday morning, January 30, 2025, the former MP announced her receipt of the NDC membership card in the Anlo Constituency of the Volta Region.
In her conversation with journalists, Gifty Klenam highlighted that the NDC resonates with her personal values and urged other discontented NPP members to take courageous actions and become part of the NDC.
“After discussing with my family, I chose to join the NDC as it aligns with my values and vision for Mother Ghana,” she stated.
The former MP was observed beaming with joy as she proudly showcased her NDC membership card. “This is my new family card—NDC, ey3 zu,” she declared with pride.
Klenam’s exact position within the NDC remains unclear, yet she has shown a readiness to contribute in any role. She highlighted that her main objective is to connect with the NDC grassroots, empower them, and foster opportunities within the country, instead of motivating them to look for opportunities overseas.
