Before the season’s second round, Asante Kotoko striker Kwame Opoku promised that he still had plenty of game left in him. The towering custodian has signed a two-and-a-half year contract to return to his previous club following stops in Algeria and Morocco. In the second half of the first round of the 2024–25 season, Opoku has scored five goals in four games.
The former striker for the Nkronsah Warriors gave an interview in which he promised that he still has more to give, saying that he has not yet reached his fitness level. “You will hear more from me in the future. He told Asempa FM that this is just the start. “I have so far scored five goals in four games and so as the season goes on, the fitness level will come,” according to him.
With 31 points at the end of the first round, Asante Kotoko was in third place on the league log. As part of Matchday 18 action at the Baba Yara Stadium, the Porcupine Warriors will be hoping to maintain their outstanding form against Karela United, who are in danger of relegation.
