President Mahama appoints Joselyn Dumas as Deputy Director for Diaspora Affairs

President John Dramani Mahama has appointed renowned Ghanaian actress and TV personality, Joselyn Dumas, as the Deputy Director of Diaspora Affairs. 

The announcement, made on March 2, 2025, has received significant praise and support from netizens and her industry colleagues.

In her new role, Dumas will collaborate with fashion icon Okyere Darko (KOD), who serves as the Director of the department. 

This appointment underscores the government’s commitment to strengthening ties with the Ghanaian Diaspora, promoting investment, and fostering cultural and economic partnerships. 

Joselyn Dumas completed her secondary education at Archbishop Porter Girls High School and later pursued higher education in the United States, where she earned a degree in Administrative Law. 

With her extensive background in media, entertainment, and public service, Dumas is expected to play a key role in engaging with the diaspora community and leading initiatives that will benefit both Ghanaians abroad and the country.
