Former Ghana youth forward Eric Ayiah has joined Portuguese second-tier side FC Felgueiras,chaleradio.com can confirm
The 24-year-old striker, who once captained Ghana’s U17 national team, makes the move from Liga 3 outfit CD Trofense as he seeks to further his development in European football.
Ayiah, a former AS Monaco U19 prospect, has steadily built his career across Portugal since leaving the French side.
Before switching to Felgueiras, he had a decent campaign with CD Trofense, contributing four goals and three assists in 18 matches this season.
His arrival at the Dr. Machado Matos Stadium is expected to strengthen Felgueiras’ attacking options as they push to maintain their league status.
The Portuguese club welcomed Ayiah with an enthusiastic statement on their official Facebook page:
“Now you are one of us. Welcome to your new home, Eric!”
This move is seen as a fresh opportunity for the Ghanaian to showcase his talent and possibly earn a future call-up to Ghana’s senior national team, the Black Stars.
With his pace, technical ability, and goal-scoring instincts, Ayiah’s presence could be a game-changer for Felgueiras.
