President John Dramani Mahama has chosen actor James Gardiner as the deputy executive secretary of the National Film Authority (NFA).
James Gardiner will help Juliet Asante, the recent executive secretary appointed by the former government. His appointment is expected to bring new perspectives and transformation to the Authority.
He will run the development and promotion of the Ghanaian film industry, warranting its continued growth and sustainability.
Backing the declaration, several industry colleagues, including Kafui Danku and Roselyn Ngissah, have taken to social media to congratulate the actor.
The NFA is authorized to modulate, support, and develop the Ghanaian film industry while overseeing the issuance, exhibition, and marketing of movies.
