Former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta has filed a lawsuit against Kissi Agyepong and the office of the Special Prosecutor for declaring him wanted some days ago.
The case follows the Special Prosecutor’s declaration that Mr. Ofori-Atta was wanted, which he claims was illegal and adversely affected his public profile.
In his lawsuit, Ken Ofori-Atta charged the special prosecutor with infringement on his human rights and unlawfully declared him wanted.
Ken Ofori-Atta listed a number of compensations he is requesting from the High Court in his legal dispute with Kissi Agyebeng, the head of the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP).
He is pursuing damages, injunctions, and compensation for the infringement of his rights brought about by the unlawful declaration.
According to the former minister’s attorneys, the wanted declaration has damaged his reputation and caused him undue distress. They are requesting the court to declare that the special prosecutor’s conduct violated his rights to administrative justice, fair treatment, and dignity.
