A Plus to Creatives: “I’m Not Going to Parliament to Fight for the Industry”

Ghanaian musician and newly elected Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central, Kwame A Plus, has clarified his priorities as he prepares to take office. In an interview with Graphic Showbiz, A Plus addressed the creative community, stating that he will not be advocating specifically for the interests of the entertainment industry in Parliament but that of his constituents since they elected him.

A Plus emphasized that his primary focus will be on serving the people of Gomoa Central, who voted him into office. He pointed out that no creative industry group supported his campaign, and therefore, he does not feel obligated to represent their interests in Parliament. Instead, he urged industry players to pay attention to Shatta Wale’s advocacy for the betterment of the industry
