In the beginning of the game, both teams played extremely well, and there were opportunities for both teams. Arcadius N-yong, who was assisted by Emmanuel Asante, scored the first goal for Kotoku Shining Stars FC after some time had passed during the interval. Through the combination of the goal and a couple of saves from their custodian Sylvester, they were able to maintain their lead going into the halftime break.
Following the interval, the visitors returned with a strong desire to score more goals, and they were rewarded for their outstanding effort when Mohammed Meekail scored his second goal in two consecutive matches, putting the visitors up by a score of 0-2 overall. After a stunning one-two between Asante and N-yong, the latter was able to repay the favour by setting up Asante for the third goal. However, the game was not yet done. Paul Armah, the right back for the visitors, would have some action just as the hosts believed the mauling was over. He would drive a shot into the bottom corner of the opposing keeper’s net to get the fourth goal for the visitors.
Kotoku Shining Stars dominated and dominated Great Ambition FC to leapfrog them on the league table. The hosts would pull one back at the very end, but that was all time would allowed as the game ended 1-4. Kotoku Shining Stars would advance to the top of the league standings.
