The Ghana Football Association has charged Brekum Chelsea football club coach Samuel Boadu of misconduct for his criticism of referee Mawuli Klu.

The erratic coach has been charged by the Football Association for his post-match remarks.

“Berekum Samuel Boadu of Chelsea was charged on Wednesday with violating Article 34 (6) (d) of the GFA Premier League Regulations, 2019 for remarks he made concerning match officials in a post-match interview during Chelsea’s league encounter against Medeama SC, according to a Ghana FA complaint.

“It is claimed that his remarks on the match referees amount to misconduct that defames the game’s reputation. He has until Thursday, January 23, 2025, to address the accusations.

Chelsea moved up to mid-table with a 2-1 victory against their opponent.
