Great Olympics Launches ‘Operation Premier League Return’

In a bold and determined statement, Great Olympics General Manager,Eric Alagidede, has confidently declared that the club is launching “Operation Olympics to the Premier League” as they aim for an immediate return to Ghana’s top-flight league in the upcoming season.

Speaking in a recent interview, Alagidede reassured fans and stakeholders of the club’s readiness and commitment to reclaim their spot in the Ghana Premier League following their relegation at the end of the 2023/24 season.

“It’s Operation Olympics to the Premier League next season. We’re leaving no stone unturned. This club belongs in the top division, and we are doing everything possible to make that happen,” he said.

Alagidede highlighted that management has already started strategic planning, including player recruitment, technical restructuring, and infrastructure support to give the team a competitive edge in the Division One League. According to him, the club has learned valuable lessons from the previous campaign and is determined not to repeat the mistakes that led to their relegation.

“We’ve identified where things went wrong and have begun addressing those issues. From technical direction to player motivation, everything is being revamped,” he added.

The club’s new direction has already sparked renewed optimism among the fan base, many of whom are eager to see the “Dade Boys” return to elite football where they have historically belonged. The Accra-based club is one of the oldest and most storied teams in Ghana football, with a proud legacy that includes two Premier League titles and several standout players over the years.

As preseason preparations ramp up, all eyes will be on how Great Olympics reinforce their squad and approach the 2025/26 Division One League campaign. With “Operation Olympics” officially in motion, supporters will be hoping that Eric Alagidede’s promise turns into reality by this time next year.
